FY2025 Asian Zone Kendo Referee Seminar

FY2025 Asian Zone Kendo Referee Seminar will be held on 26th  27th January 2026 in Japan.

 

Key information:

Date: 26th  27th January 2026 (Monday - Tuesday)

Location: Nippon Budokan Kenshū Center

Address: 582 Sawakura, Katsuura, Chiba, 299-5231, Japan

Quota: Maximum 10 persons (priority will be given to 6 or 7 Dan participants, participants must hold valid HKKA Coach License)

 

Target:

i)       HKKA members & Affiliate Dojo members with 5 Dan or above (Maximum 7 participants)

ii)      Candidates for referees at the 1st Asia-Oceania Kendo Championships (1AOKC) and the 20th World Kendo Championships (Maximum 3 participants)

Subsidy from HKKA:

The participants selected by the AJKF to attend the seminar as the final selection of the 1AOKC Referee seminar will receive a subsidy of HK$3,500 each.

Other eligible participants will receive a subsidy of HK$2,000 each.

Participants will pay for their own expenses first, and subsidy will be made by HKKA after the completion of trip and submission of the report, as well as all expenses receipts (copies will not be accepted) by participants.

The selected representative will have to make his/her own arrangement for all transportation (including air-ticket).

 

* The travel period for this trip must fall between 24th January 2026 (arrival)  28th January 2026 (departure). All receipts should be within the abovementioned period.

HKKA will purchase travel insurance for all participants that will be deducted from the subsidy directly.

Interested individuals please reply your intention to participate by email on or before 2nd January, 2026, 5pm (Friday). After review and vetting, we will inform successful candidates to submit their application.

All application will be subjected to the final decision of the Executive Committee of HKKA.
