During the 38th International Open Korea Kumdo Championship for Social Members held in Seoul, South Korea, the Hong Kong, China Kendo team performed remarkably well. The event took place from 7^th to 8^th June at the Olympic Handball Arena in Seoul.

In the men's category, Yip Wang Hei (4 Dan) and Pang Kit Hung (4 Dan) both reached the round of 32 in the individual men's adult competition, and the Hong Kong, China men's team reached at the round of 8 in the men's team event In the women's category, Yeung Tsz Ching (4 Dan) was eliminated in the quarter-finals and did not advance to the top 4. However, Yau Yee Ting Queennie (5 Dan) made it to the top 4 and secured 3^rd place. Additionally, the Hong Kong,China women's team, consisting of Yau Yee Ting Queennie, Yeung Tsz Ching, and Usa Pittayayon (4 Dan), also achieved 3^rd place in the women's team event.
