Kong Open Junior Kendo Championships have successfully concluded

The 18th Hong Kong Open Novice Kendo Championships and the 15th Hong Kong Open Junior Kendo Championships have successfully concluded. The Association was honored to invite Matsuda Isato sensei (Hanshi 8 Dan) as the head of referees (Shinpancho). In his speech, Matsuda Isato sensei mentioned that this competition holds special significance for emerging and young athletes, as it aims to nurture the future of Kendo in Hong Kong. He encouraged all participants to showcase the skills they have developed through their regular practice, adhere to the competition rules, and give their best effort.

The events for the 18th Hong Kong Open Kendo Newcomers Tournament were divided into the following categories: Basic Group without Bogu Event - Children Event (Age 6-9 and Age 10-12), Teenage Event (Age 13-17), Adult Group (Age 18 years and above), Men and Ladies Individual Event with bogu.

The events for the 15th Hong Kong Open Kendo Youth Tournament included: Children Event (Age 6-9 and Age10-12), Male and Female Teenage Events, Male and Female Youth Individual Events, and College Students Event– Three-member Men and Women Mixed Team
