Recruitment of Hong Kong,China players for the 18th Regional Kendo Championships

The Kendo Association of Hong Kong, China is pleased to announce the 18^th Regional Kendo Championships will be held on 25^th – 27^th July, 2025 (Friday to Sunday). We hereby invite all HKKA Members & Dojo members to join the 18^th Regional Kendo Championships.

(A1) Children Individual Event (Age 6-9,Mxied gender)

(A2) Children Individual Event (Age 10-12,Mxied gender)

(B1) Male Teenage Individual Event (Age 13-17 Male)

(B2) Female Teenage Individual Event (Age 13-17 Female)

(C1) Women’s Individual Event (18 years old or above, No Dan to 2 Dan)

(C2) Women’s Individual Event (18 years old or above, No restrictions on Dan)

(D1) Men’s Individual Event (18 years old or above, No Dan to 2 Dan)

(D2) Men’s Individual Event (18 years old or above, No restrictions on Dan)

(E) Women’s 3-members Team Event (18 years old or above, No Dan to 6 Dan)

(F) Men’s 5-members Team Event (18 years old or above, No Dan to 6 Dan)

Location: Lei Yue Mun Sports Centre

Recruitment detail as below:

Participants have to attend the following training sessions:

Sunday Training Session: 25/5, 1/6, 8/6,15/6, 22/6, 13/7 and 20/7

Selection Date: 29/6 or 6/7 (TBC)

As the venues for 8/6, 22/6, 13/7, and 20/7 are yet to be confirmed, please check the training schedule on the HKKA's website for latest information.

※ Those interested in participating in Categories A1 to B2 do not need to apply for selection.

※ Coaches will consider all participants’ commitment, skills and internal shiai result to select representatives.

※ Coaches and the Executive Committee of HKKA will have the final decision for the arrangement of team order.

For dojo memebers:

Interested individuals should register with the president/representative of their respective dojo or kendo club, and ask them to email the registration form to HKKA by on or before the registration deadline.

Deadline:

On or before 20^th May, 2025 (Tue), 5:00pm

Dojo Masters and Senseis are also welcome to attend our training sessions, keiko, serving as shinpan in this event to show support to Hong Kong kendo development.
