Latest update on the 2nd Hong Kong Asian Open Iaido Invitation Tournament:

Due to the approach of Typhoon Saola, the following arrangements have been made:

Referee and Exam Candidate seminar will be canceled if Typhoon Signal No. 8 or Black Rainstorm Warning is hoisted within 2 hours before the event (*Typhoon Signal No. 3 or Red Rainstorm Warning will continue):

August 31 (Thursday):
Referee seminar
2000-2300, 1st floor of Ap Lei Chau Sports Centre

September 1 (Friday):

Exam Canidate Seminar
2100-2300, 3rd floor of Chai Wan Road Sports Centre

The scheduled examination on September 2, welcome banquet, and the competition on September 3 are canceled due to weather and safety considerations.

*Special arrangement:
If Typhoon Signal No. 3 is in effect on September 3 at 8 am without a Black Rainstorm Warning, Hong Kong Youth Association Jockey Club Sai Kung Outdoor Training Camp will reopen. Seminar and Iadio Dan examination will be arranged during this time (1000-1530).
1030-1230 Seminar (Everyone are welcomed to attend)
1300-Exam registration
1330-Exam starts
1530- Venue Clearance

For participants who have already registered but are unable to reach Hong Kong due to the typhoon, the Association can arrange a refund or keep the payment for the next Iaido event (please keep the receipt for later administrative arrangements).

We appreciate the support from everyone and kindly ask for your understanding regarding the cancellation of the examination and the competition, which is based on the typhoon and the safety of the public. We will inform everyone as soon as possible if there are any further updates or rescheduling information. We apologize for any inconvenience caused. Thank you!
