Obituary

President of The Hong Kong Kendo Association (HKKA) is deeply grieved by the death of Satou Isamu Sensei (佐藤勇 老師), who passed away peacefully with his next of kins at bedside in Japan on 16 July 2017.

Satou Sensei, aged 93 was on the founder list of this Association during his overseas assignment posting in Hong Kong in the era of late 60's and early 70's.  He was undoubtedly endorsed for rendering constructive and concrete contributions to establish this Association and eventually enrolled into the member list of FIK.  His achievements and virtue are to be written in the HKKA annalistic record.

We are profoundly grieved at the loss of Satou Sensei for his selfless dedication and positive devotion to this Association.  On behalf of the HKKA members, I offer the deepest condolences to his family.  

I have no doubt that his soul will eventually be settled down at the ultimate western extremity and Rest In Peace.
